From 1969 to today
Giorgos Stamopoulos opens the family’s first butcher shop in Analipseos Square, Vrilissia.
The family tradition passes to his son, Dimitris, together with years of experience as butchers and a practical knowledge of meat: selection, cutting and proper grilling.
Dimitris Stamopoulos opens Tharaka Araxova. Knowledge of meat meets handmade skewers, beef patties and charcoal, following the simple logic of a Greek grill house.
Tharaka moves just half a block away, into a larger space with more room for both the team and its customers. The neighbourhood stays the same, and so does the loyalty of our customers.

Arachova on Mount Parnassus.
Arachova is a mountain town in Boeotia, on the southern slope of Mount Parnassus, at an elevation of about 970 metres and near Delphi. The 1826 battle is associated with Georgios Karaiskakis, while Formaela cheese has protected designation of origin status.
